Depth, smoothness, picture

Can't adjust the sharpness much before it turns a nice smooth picture into digitized crap.

Awesome! I had a 4:3 32" Sony HDTV CRT but wanted to go widescreen and was a little worried that I wouldn't get as good of a picture. Although there are differences the Elite handles digital information a lot better than the Sony, although the sony is sharper and may or may not have better colors. So far I have no complaints. The other thing this unit does well, like the Elite DVD player, it sharpens images in the foreground giving the picture more depth.
