Strength:

I like it so far for price and features. However, this is a skewed review because this is the first dvd player I have owned. This machine is far better than the lemon Denon laser disc player and format debacle I got stuck with in '92. I vowed after that I would not pay full retail for a new format until the format was proven and I was happy with the machines. I should raise Cain about the old Denon laser discs but that is too old now.

Weakness:

The momentary stutter.

While I have not experienced the dreaded HO2 error that owners of the RV31K get repeatedly the machine still 'stutters' monentarily/for a few seconds without fail half way through every dvd played. The only reason I bought this machine was because I received a complimentary dvd from my certification agaency (PADI) and the fact that this beast was half price in the clearance demo bin at The Bay.
