Bottom Line: I've had my CDRS 1000 for about 7 years. Great build quality, decent CD playback (easily competes with the latest £300 players. I have used it to record vinyl compilations from my Gyro SE and LP12 with great results. Also makes direct copies that are indistinguishable from the original. Will not copy write protected cd's though. A couple of months back it started skipping on playback. I removed the cover and carefully cleaned the lens with a cotton bud and iso alcohol. Like new once again. All in, a brilliant machine.
