This is a very good unit. Looked at Tascam ( professional arm of TEAC) recorder, found that the TEAC soundwise was very comparable at almost half the cost of Tascam. Furthermore it offers dubbing facilities for Cd ( twin trays), and it has 24 bit dac''s, of quite good quality, which is unusual at this price. The build is very good, solid, and mechanical operation is smooth. Sound is excellent, as said, comparable to a higher end CD player. Has both analog and digital input/outputs, and various recordig modes making it ideal for transfering material on older media ( LP''s or cassettes) to CD. Very happy with it.No hesitation about giving 5 stars for value and performance.
