Review 1 of 1

Price Paid:  $450.00 from guitar center

Summary:
This is a very cool unit. It performs better than I expected and actually makes "clones" not copies. The ease of operation is itiotproof. Playback/monitoring are true and once "finalized" the CD sound as good as the original. Always use top quality cd's and if you can get them, go GOLD for that extra special copy. The PURPLE faceplate is very cool ! The ability to title is very helpfull when compilating from multiple sourses and CD's

Strengths:
The ability to clone. The reproduction from LP's is flawless. The ease of operation and the ability to title each track. I realy dig the Purple face plate in my rack.

Weaknesses:
Finalization take too long. Other than that I have no gripes with this unit.

In my judgment the advantage of the MG 1.6 (and other Magneplars), stems from the following: = It is a full-range dipole, and = It has uses low-mass, planar drivers for the whole audio spectrum. These attributes account for its extraordinary clarity, coherence, “air”...
