Strengths:    Great highs, mids, clean sound. Good soundstaging. Very musical. Great styling.

Weaknesses:    See summary below.

Bottom Line:
This clean sounding, musical CD player has no sonic flaws. The soundstaging, balance of lows-mids-highs, and the presence of instruments are outstanding. Well recorded disks sing, and even poorly recorded ones are still bearably good. Player works extremely well with other Thule products in the 150 series. Remote control thoughtfully designed and also operates Thule pre-amp and amp. Search speed very fast, have not seen better. Only problem: in first 3 months of ownership, drawer mechanism stuck shut. Dealer provided new replacement in one day and have not had any problems with this new unit.

Bottom Line:
Very transparent and lush sound.Very smooth and polite to listen, with absolute no digital harshness.Bass is a bit shy,and not so deep and firm like Fase or Arcam.Philips tray 12.4 is a big dissapointment.Overally it is excellent
CD for a very cheap price.

Strengths:    Warm sound, true balanced design, looks.

Weaknesses:    Quality?

Bottom Line:
It sounds very undigital with lots of details and a certain degree of warmth. I bought it new and has problems with the CD tray, it makes a resonance that is so big that it makes the CDs skip. I've placed a sorbothane puck on it and the resonance disappeared. Something is wrong with it and I will return it to the dealer.

BTW
This isn't the first time I have had problems with electronics from Thule, shame.
