This is the best CD player that I have ever owned. I have owned Rega Jupiter, Shanling T100, Cary, Musical Fidelity A5, and Krell. So far I really like the sound of this unit. What makes this shine is the overall balance of sound. It is not harsh but with detail. The midrange is sweet and warm. The highs are extended but not irritating. The bass is also tight and well defined. It took this player about 200 hours of warm up time before sounding best. Out of the box, I thought I miss my A5 musical fidelity player but now I cannot see myself coming back. I have listened to my CD over and over again because I hear things that I didnt hear before and it is truly an intoxicating piece.
The build quality by the way is superb. If they made cars like this we would never afford one :-)
