Bottom Line: NOTICED THE CD PLAYER DID IN FACT SOUND BETTER AT NIGHT AT 121 VOLTS. DURING THE DAY THE VOLTS SOMETIMES DIPPED TO 117 VOLTS. I TRIED THE RCA OUTPUT AND IT SOUNDED GOOD BUT WHEN I SWITCHED TO THE XLR'S WAAAAY BETTER. THEN I FOUND OUT THE PLAYER ONLY USED TUBES IN THE RCA OUTPUT STAGE SO I REMOVED THEM, AGAIN A VERY VELCOME IMPROVEMENT THROUGH THE XLR'S. WITHOUT THE TUBES THE UNIT SOUNDS GREAT NO MATTER WHEN I LISTEN TO IT. APPARENTLY THERE IS AMPLE POWER WITHOUT THE TUBE POWER DRAIN. BEST CD PLAYER I HAVE EVER HEARD. WELL WORTH A GOOD LISTENING TO. GREAT STUFF.

Bottom Line: Tremendous clarity and presence. Compared it to the following and this modified product far and away exceeded Regas, Camb Audios, Rotels, NADs, and even far more expensive Classe products. My only gripes are the power cord.
Great product out of the box and it gets better each time I play it.
