Summary:
I agree with the previous review, this CD is absolutely fabulous. This player is rebirthing my CD collection. My previous CD was a Sugden SDT-1 which was a very good player but the Rega Jupiter outperforms completely the Sugden. There is lot of air between instruments, bass are tight and strong, the soundstage is wide and deep with a lot of fine details and dynamics. This player need very good interconnect; I recommend to spend at least 15% on interconnects.

I’m running this player with brand new BIS Audio RCA Coppers-S, my old wonderful integrated amplifiers SimAudio PW 3000-ES, bipolar Mirage 990S bi-wired with Prisma 4 cables.

Strengths:
Lots of details
Strong and tight bass
Wide and deep soundstage

Weaknesses:
Need to spend more money on very good interconnects

Summary:
I just heard a lot about the jupiter and was wondering if this stories where indeed that possitive,so i went to the dealer a 30km from where i live and came home with the jupiter(in a nice case)to listen for it for a few days.
I put it on top of my system because its a top loader instead of an frontloader, and put a pair of Siltechs in it(4-56s)the rca inputs are not gold plated that's a pitty i think)i switch on the player, put an cd in it and wow....
this is bad ,what is happening ?this player sounds cold and flat ,i just listen for a while and the sound was getting much better and better....this player needs an warming-up so i think and i was putting more cd's in it .Very amazing this player makes my whole cd collection a new collection, much detail ,very good soundstage with lots of air arround instruments and vocals, even better with unplugged cd's i discovered.Maybe some new interconnects may do some wonders and make it more realistic sounding then it already did,i have to check that with some new pair. This player gives a very good impression how much room there is with some good cd players to make cd sounds much better(i even think i don't need a dvd-audio or an sacd player, because they don't make my cd collection sounds better,ok if you go for a player for arround 4000 euro).
