Price Paid:  $100.00 from FutureShop

Summary:
I puchased this cd player 1 year & 3 months ago. It worked fine while under waranty, no major complaints; the sound quality was good & it changed cd's quickly, however on the random setting with several cd's in at once it would often pick from the same cd for many tracks in a row, without changing cd's - not a true random play (a minor annoyance). I used it fairly often (almost every day), & was very careful with it since it is not a very sturdy machine (ie. cheap construction). After 1 yr. & 3 mos. it stopped working altogether - the display panel would illuminate when turned on, but the cd door would not open (4 cd's stuck inside). I took it to an authorized repair shop - they extracted the cd's & told me the micro-processor blew & could not be replaced (the part is not available for order). I called RCA Customer (dis)service department & they gave me the run-around, told me too bad & they wouldn't do anything for me. I have purchased several RCA products in the past 2 yrs, & every one has had at least one (& many cases several) problems. RCA has done nothing for me, I've been left out in the cold in all cases. My advice: never buy any RCA products, as their quality has severely declined in the past few years, & they obviously don't care at all about this fact.

Strengths:
Decent sound

Weaknesses:
Crap quality

Marantz MA-9S2 Reference Series Power Amplifiers Review

Marantz MA-9S2 Power AmplifierThe list above has one tenet that I continue to hold true: high powered amplifiers are necessary to reproduce the full dynamic range of music with most speakers. This became apparent when I changed from the 100 Watt per channel Bella Extreme 100 to the 250 Watt.....

A new driver from Lowther is real news. A new five inch driver is even rarer news, so it was with great anticipation that I waited on this pair of speakers to arrive.

Aune Mini Headphone DAC User Review

The unit arrived from China well packed and everything seem to be in place. No external abuse by the carriers. The only problem was the power supply it came with. The box came with a cheap step-down converter.
