Review 1 of 2 , from Brooklyn, NY

Summary:
I am looking to buy this or the M426 (has a remote) to compliment my other Pioneer pieces. I have envyed by friends since the day they bought it, but never had enuf CDs until now to really want to listen to them (and to stop fighting with my daughter over boom-box location...). Playing CDs on my PC just seemed a little weird...

Strengths:
My friends have had this 'forever' -- THEY are audiophiles & like it because each member of family can have their own cartridge(s) & is easy to switch. Excellent for programming for the parties they have... preload of several cartridges ahead of time. Never heard them complain about anything... which is why I want one, too!

Weaknesses:
Yeah, it's not a quick change, but so what? Speakers make the sound, they have great speakers & so do I!

Similar Products Used:
A 5-CD boom box... P.I.T.A. gotta go thru each slot to get to one I want to change. Can't shuffle, makes noise...

Review 2 of 2 , from Glendale, Arizona

Summary:
I listed a lot of cons and little pros, but what do you say about a CD-player? Besides, I'm the only guy rating it so far, so be thankful anyone said anything. I am satisfied with it.

Strengths:
Good price, easy to read display, program, shuffle, and scan, basic features. Good hook-ups. A good low-end system choice.

Weaknesses:
Not too many functions, small # of buttons. My model didn't have a remote, so it's kinda annoying because I have to set programs because there is no option to skip certain tracks on shuffle, which I used all the time on my old system. Track play delay time is a bit slow, but it's only a small bug. The magazine can be annoying, as there is no exchange function. It's nice though if you need a quick transport, 'cause it doubles as a case. I guess it would be even better if your car system used cartridges, too.

Similar Products Used:
Pioneer SX-205, Optimus 4" speakers w/ ribbon tweeters.
