Review 1 of 5
Price Paid:
$700.00
from Local Dealer Summary: This solidly-built player has performed flawlessly for me for 5 years now. It has a certain sweetness that makes even dreadful first-generation CD's sound smooth. Better CD's are rendered with an analog-like mellowness. No excessive "hi-fi" or "etched" quality whatsoever.
The solidity and dimensionality of the image are superb. It is electronically and physically totally quiet and has a host of features.
I've paired it with a couple high-end outboard DAC's (Theta's) and found the improvement marginal, i.e the onboard analog section is superb. Strengths: Built like a brick house. Sound tends toward the sweet side. Weaknesses: Variable outputs don't sound totally clean but fixed are fine. Not happy with a passive preamp.

Review 4 of 5 Summary: Got this one for $600 in turkey. A far tough product when compared to others from the same price range i.e. marantz, rotel, denon, kenwood, sony both by means of sound and build quality. Many of you may not accept this as a clue of quality but this one is from Japan as others in the price range are from Singapore, Malaysia or China. The sound is very refined and away from any clue of electronics. Extremely sweet treble. It is claimed to have a low jitter clock mounted in rubber damper. Build quality is very high. The transport lens is driven by a linear motor free from gears and has a very rapid track access time. A recommended piece of equipment.

Review 5 of 5 Summary: i needed a cd player to replace my failing yamaha cdx-910.i found the onkyo dx-7711 integra series player to be a well built and fantastic sounding player. it is a single disc with a one piece transport that feels and looks like a high quality piece of equipment. access speed is high, quite operation, and a remote is included. the sound is well balanced and usage is simple and staight forward. i consider this a major upgrade compared to the yamahas sound and quality of constuction. i have it teamed up with a carver m1.5t amp, carver ct-1 preamp, carver tx-11a tuner, nakamichi tape deck, and klipsch forte speakers. i welcome any comments.
