Review 1 of 4

Price Paid:  $0.00

Summary:
Considering the cost, this product easily out performs anything I've ever tested or purchased in a cost-to-perfomance basis. That includes high-end Marantz SACD players, Minimax tube CD players and many, many others. The only players on the used market that compete, IMO, are the Pioneer Elite PD59/65.

That said, the NAD 525BEE is still here and being used daily in our studio, with its companion preamp and power amp setup driving a pair of Monitor Audio monitors.

Review 2 of 4

Price Paid:  $0.00

Summary:
Summary:
Great CD Player for the money. It sounds like players twice or three times its price. Lots of musicality, soundatage and detail are at your disposal with a warm, pleasant and well rounded sound. The construction is correct in general terms, but the front panel finish could be better (it would be more expensive too...). This player is the proof you don't need to spend a lot of money to really enjoy your favorite music. Highly recommended without a doubt.

Strengths:
Great sound and musicality at a ridiculous price. You will really enjoy the music.

Weaknesses:
The front panel finish could be better according to the overall good quality of this product, but it would be more expensive too.

Review 3 of 4

Price Paid:  $300.00 from audio store

Summary:
this is a 2007 model.really good cd player, was using onkyo 6 cd changer before getting this which is not a bad cd changer, upon changing to the 525, you immediately notice better quality sound, clearer, tighter bass and a lot more of it, you also hear a lot of detail that was not present before, everything on the cd player works fine, the cd tray seems well built, solid and works really fast. I also tried the 545 and with my system (nad c 372 integrated and paradigm studio 100's v 4, which are the nicest sounding speakers in the world btw.) i couldn't tell the difference, so for value vs. $, the 525 was the way to go for me, if you have a higher end system, then you might appreciate what the 545 is capable of delivering, for me, the 525 was perfect. Really good clean tight cd player.

Strengths:
lots of tight, well controlled and defined bass, clean uncolored representation, good separation, price, value, over all sound balanced, non-fatiguing, clear, can be controlled with nad remote of a nad preamp or integrated.

Weaknesses:
none really, i realize there must be better cd players in the world but unless you have a system that can bring out the extra detail, separation, soundstage etc. these units are capable of offering, the 525 is the way to go, i believe the differences of a better cd player including the 545 are minimmal, and most people would not hear the difference in a blindfold test.

Review 4 of 4

Price Paid:  $0.00

Summary:
I've only had the NAD C525BEE CD Player for about a week now, so I've been trying every CD I have to see has she does. First off I'll say it sounds very good. Second it looks to be well put together with a solid door mechanism. The thing I don't like about it is the supplied connectors that you use to hook up the player to your reciever or pre-amp are very cheap and have a loose fit to the player. They constantly lost connection at the back of the player, so I had to constantly fiddle with the rca plugs to get a solid connection. I finally went to Wal-Mart and bought the best audio connectors they had, they were Phillips, and are alot better than what NAD supplied with the player. After connecting the new cables I haven't had a problem with a loose connection yet, and I can definately hear an improvement in sound. I really like the cd player, it sounds great! Just wish quality control was more of a concern these days.

Strengths:
Sound, Construction

Weaknesses:
supplied connector cables, digital readout could be more informative
