Bottom Line: True authentic analog and comforting sound.
Big and wide american type, that is more forgiving than revealing.
Still it does not feel as if it is not painting a complete picture.
It is!
It is just doing it in a very comforting way.
The audio signal is very soft and that is why you can hear the audio at a higher listening DB level than most others.
This is soooo nice, because finally you can crank up the volume without thoose irritating hard fake noises!
The headphone amp on this think is worth about half of the cd players price. (the best)
There are some cd players that can retreive more detail than this one. (more expensive)
(but most fail at delivering the same authentic and comforting sound as this Mcintosh)
this is not a good piece of equipment
It´s an excellent piece of euipment that will last you atleast 10 years!
Used product for: Less than 1 month
Duration Product Used: AudioPhile
