Bottom Line:
Beautifully constructed, with state of the art design of black and gold decoration. The performance is great, either the sound clarity or authority, It even defeat Marantz SA-14. ver.2 ( which has SACD. )
Compared to 1621, whcih is the reference line of the mbl family, 1521 has less strength, clarity and the ability to organize the soundstage.

Bottom Line:
a splendid unit, built to last, sonically spectacular. It is extremely resolving but unfailingly musical. I wanted a transport to replace my beloved forsell, and, after auditioning a number of units, I decided none is better than the MBL.
