Summary:
This is a very solid player from Mrantz, it features great shock sensitivity, fast reading and accessing of tracks, direct track access via front panel, and very detailed and clean, clear sound. Sounds like a Marantz... There is no stop button, but the pause feature is well designed and resumes very quickly. I have not run into a cd that this thing would not play yet! Every burned cd, store bought, anything. I received the unit for $16 because it would not read a disc, So I proceeded to open the hood, found the laser gain on the bottom of the laser, turned it clockwise about 1/4 tuen, and presto, has worked fine since. Good, solid player and they come around pretty cheap. anything Marantz you can count on having a warm, clean sound and great build quality. I have this unit paired up with a Denon flagship receiver from the 90's and it sounds great with this player. Note: There are no RCA outputs on this unit, it is XLR output only. (Adjustable gain too!) I had to get a pair of XLR to RCA cables....

Strengths:
Great tracking, no skipping, not sensitive to shock / bass
Direct Track Access on the front panel
Florescent display
High Sound Quality
Discrete DAC's and PS section
XLR outputs / Gain is adjustable

Weaknesses:
No RCA outputs

Sanders Sound 10b Speaker Review

No, you can’t always get what you want. The number of loudspeakers surpassing the cost of a decent family sedan is staggering. Then there are speakers that cost as much as a house.
