This machine was highly rated in most HIFI magazines and for a good reason.
Its amazing what MARANTZ can do even with just a budget machine.
You can pick one up now in HOLLAND for 350 euro which is a total bargin.
Oke the front and buttons are plastic and it doesn"t have a expencive cd drive, but most other machines at this pricepoint arent any different.
Most people would discribe the sound it makes as the typical MARANTZ sound and for me thats a good thing and one of the reasons to buy this machine.
Bass is deep and tight highs are smooth with controlled sibbilance and mids are insidefull with a lot of atmosfeer and depth.
Altough i prefer playing cds on it the USB input for idevices and usb sticks isnt just an afterthought just to tick the option boxes, with WAVE material on your idevice its darn good.
Basically if you are after a machine that makes your good cds sound awsome and your bad cds listenable and also makes the most of your idevices DIGITALY this is the one for you!!
