Summary:
I have a DP-R3090
Have a JVC XV-D2000 which has great sound quality. This player is comparable with it.
No hang ups at all.

Strengths:
Great sound quality.

Weaknesses:
Slightly non random playback. eg. get a song from cd 1 then plays a song from cd 3 goes back to cd to cd 3 a few times etc.

Summary:
I've owned this CD player for 3 years and it has been exceptional. It has very good plackback and straightforward features. A good value that keeps on delivering !
