Review NaN of , from Greenville, TX. USA

Price Paid:  $75.00 from eBay

Summary:
Changer has suited my needs until recently when I can no longer call up CDs or move to a CD Location; can't even get my CDs out; hung up on 1 specific CD. Any ideas on unloading?

Weaknesses:
No menu. Must make and maintain your own Library listing.

Review NaN of , from Sudbury, MA USA

Summary:
I expected a cd player that holds 200 discs to have a higher program capacity. I wanted to make a mix for a party I was having and after entering the 32nd song of my program, it stopped accepting entries. What's the point of having a 200 disc changer if you can't even program it to play one song off of every disc? It's a shame.
I think a cool feature (and I don't know if it's already available) would be a memory card of some sort that you can save a program to. For example, at my party we wanted to start off with some fun stuff for a couple hours, move into some dance, and finish off with some slow stuff so everyone would go to bed. With memory cards, that would have been a breeze. Just switch cards. Any product development people listening?

Strengths:
my whole cd library can almost fit into it.

Weaknesses:
you have to make a list of cd location or you will have a hard time finding specific cds. my housemates call it the cd graveyard because once you put in a cd, chances are you'll never find it again.

Review NaN of , from Reston, VA

Price Paid:  $150.00

Summary:
Stay far away from this unit. Complete piece of sh*t. This one worked for 6 months then started giving me strange errors on readout screen...wouldn't play certain CD's. An absolute waste of time and money.

JVC makes nice Video cameras....that's about it.

Strengths:
holds 200 CDs

Weaknesses:
Built shoddily

Review NaN of , from Atlantic Beach NY

Price Paid:  $130.00

Summary:
Once this is loaded up, it plays like a dream and affords me the leisure of my couch for hours on end. You need to use the book to record cd location, which can be a bit tedious, but at this price point it's a concession I'm happy to make. Sound is very comparable to higher end CD players I've heard that friends and neighbors have taken out 2nd mortgages to purchase. This is a great value in spite of shortcomings we all acknowledge. Too bad it's discontinued because I'd happily buy another to hook up in series.

Strengths:
Cost,quality,function

Weaknesses:
No text library feature

Pioneer 18 CD Magazine Changer

Review NaN of , from edmond

Summary:
I like the unit, for the money it can't be beat.

Strengths:
price, for a megachanger I only had to pay $150, much cheaper then sonys I looked at. It is also very dependable.

Weaknesses:
I also wish that it had groupings for different music types. The play and exchange feature that it has is almost useless. Some of the features offered on higher up models would be useful for some but it really depends on your amp. I use an old AKAI from the 70's. The cd's must be perfect for the player to read them right. No scratches if the cd is mared it will try to play it for a sec and then just move onto the next one. The oversampling can get confused on cd's that are repetative like the beasties boys.

Similar Products Used:
AKAI amp, Pioneer tuner, JVC megachanger, impro turntable.
