now i'm posting this to try and help the next guy or gal out. i found it real difficult to get any info on this player. this will be this sites first post. i've had it a couple of weeks and i'm not sure yet, but it may be a little sensitive as far as playing dirty discs, but once you clean them you have no problems. i'm not sure that's completly true (the sensitive comment) because my discs could be the problem. my old player had been acting up for some time and they weren't really stored properly (bread bag), so i'm working on cleaning them now, but the ones i have cleaned (with tissue) play great. it plays dubbed discs with no hesiitation too. my bass doesn't make the player jump either. that's always a plus, right? my system be bringing it too :-). i'm pretty satisfied. i priced it brand new for anywhere from $169 to $180. i got mine for $88.00 off of ebay, supposedly gently used, so i have no complaints. i personally think it's cool. i recommend it. if i run into any problems later i'll update this post.
