Very nice results can be achieved with this unit. Much quieter than a PC without a fan it can sit in the room where you record without effecting the recording. Ideal for the home studio which is where I use this unit.
My only complaints would be the lack of a S\pdif input or optical Toslink\ firewire out. Instead there are balanced input \ output and RCA plugs.
2nd issue would be the nested menu items that require you to crouch down on your hands and knees to read
and scroll through too many options to Finalize your disc. It would be nice to be able to use less expensive DVD disc's as well but I guess I am asking for too much.
You can expect to achieve good results with a short recording chain and this unit. What goes in come out!
