This product did not work for me. It lasted for a few years, but for as much as I paid, I expect better. Working one minute, then quit upon restarting. I know that companies build their products to decay and break key components within months of the warranty wearing out. That's dishonest, and Emerson is no different, sad to say. .

Strength:

The fact that you can use this CD player where ever there is a an FM radio available. Great sound. I have not ever had the player skip and I drive on dirt and very bumpy roads.

Weakness:

There is no resume button so that when you turn the player off, the next time you listen to it, it starts the CD completly over. Also, if you are using the CD player in a car, sometimes you have to change the station the CD player is tuned into.

This is a great CD player if you have only stereos with FM radios with which to transmit the sound through. The only downfall is that sometimes you have to fool with the tuning to get it to come in perfect.

As far as I know this product is the only wireless portable car cd player. Rather than having to use a tape adapter for signal transmision to listen to cd's, it does this all through wireless digital tramission. The price ranges anywhere from $60 - $80 depending upon where you go.
Pros - Wireless technology. Durable. Sounds excellent. Great price. Swivel headset speakers. 20 second anti-skip. Durably built.

Cons - Included headset does not feel comfortable at all. You have to use a digital car stereo for this. Can only be used from 88.5 - 92.5 MHz (FM). It takes a while to get the frequency right. This also has a tendency to amplify signals, so you do need to find a clear band. There is some distortion when you do play it loud, but that also is normal.

Overall it is a great deal for the price. For those individuals who have a digital car stereo with or without a tape deck it definately fills a void. The sound is indeed excellent. I would give it a four overall, mainly due to the headset being uncomfortable and problems tuning the cd player to the right frequency for the car stereo mainly due to the signal amplification. However it is very easy to use and well built. I do not think this cd player will disappoint you at all.
