Summary:
Used together with DX71 DAC from same manufacturer, the couple gives extremely LP like music reproduction with all the fine details that I had missed with all my CDs for the past 10 years. No digital sound is heard and everything is real and smooth (with good recording of course). Tonal balance is excellent and wide and nature musical stage. Belt drive is clearly superior to traditional direct drive. Must use with DX71 using Superlink which automatically upbit to 24/96 (or 8 times oversampling). Using the Superlink connection (comes with a 9-pin cable), no extra cable is needed and hence save you from an expensive digital cable. Also a must is a gold stablizer (worth US$120) that gives further improvement to the already excellent sound.

There is absolutely no rival at similar price level that has same level of performance. Look is excellent and classy. Good power cord is also needed.

Absolutely superb value for money and best buy. Burmester and AVM are also buying mechanism from C.E.C. Why to pay more for these brands' advertisement and fame??

Summary:
Gives the d\a convertors an terrific almost analog sound with great detail. Great sense of flow almost liquid compared to other transports. And oooh it`s musicality,it`s squeezes the last "bit" of music out of your disc.
Slapped me in the face to what a difference this tranport makes, that`s what probably everybody say`s about his new gear, but this product was only in the house just for fun and to learn i was only in the market for another convertor. I hooked it up to my meridian 563 upgraded 566-20bits convertor (aes/ebu)and woke up 2 days later to tell my wife this thing is not leaving the house. End of story. And oh yeah this thing is very sensetive to powercords, so start trying

Summary:
Warm, appealing, liquid, analogue presentation. Big soundstage. Smooth and open top end, consistent and clean bottom end and beautifully transparent. Performed best when used with AES/EBU PSC Audio Custom Mk II Interconnect.

Liquid midrange, tonally balanced and big soundstage

Weaknesses:
Compared to the top transports has sloppy bass and tiny, teany bit of upper midrange grain

Summary:
Perhaps one of the most natural and musical transports I have heard. Sounds a lot like its's older brother the TL-1. Detail is stunning yet not overbearing. CEC really does make transports in a class all of their own. A little bit pricy, but a very rewarding piece of gear.
