Strength:

Let me begin to saying that the Accuphase DP-70 is one of a kind CD player that provides high performance and deep listening satisfaction for any one who looking for the best digital audio era, lets not forget the DP-70 is kinda rare these days on the used market and learned over the years to appreciate Japanese craftmanship home audio equipment, the DP-70 was introduced in 1987 till 1990. The DP-70 is the cream of Accuphase back then is a beautiful cdp just like the C280v preamp inside and out comes in a satiny golden finish, beautiful wood side panels, 16bit 4x oversampling, uses separate power supplies for the digital and analog sections, the DP-70 is built like a tank around 46 pounds due to the entire unit is designed to resist vibration with thick metal frame, retail price was $5,000usd back then so that equal today 2018 about $12k easy WoW!!! Ok how does the DP-70 sounds well to my ears the DP-70 sounds very natural, sexy and warm put it this way musical to my ears, definitely not digital at all or analytical but Its extremely analog to me with a wide soundstage, details and really good bass, pretty much I try all kind of music on the DP-70 and let me tell you very impressive cdp. The DP-70 is about 30 years old technology but it doesn’t get outclassed so easy by high price cdp today costing $10k~$16k that is how good the DP-70 so if you happen to find one in great condition and good price don't hesitate to buy one go for it...Highly Recommended

Weakness:

Obviously due to parts for the DP-70 are becoming more rare and expensive these days but in my opinion is worth to buy the DP-70 for a extraordinary experience.
