Bottom Line:
i bought this center channel for $75.00 off a friend of mine, couldn't be happier, although i don't have other infinity speakers to match. i am using boston acoustics A-100 in the front, klipsch 1.5 in the rear and the NHT SA-3 subwoofer, i want the klipsch 2.5 in the front because i feel i can voice match that better w/ my klipsch than the BA's

Bottom Line:
for $200.00 (from crutchfield) this center channel is just ok. compared to the SM video center channel it isn't worth that much. you can get the SM video from crutchfield( discontinued now) for $150.00. the SM video blows the cc-2 away in terms of the speaker size and power handling, the cc-2 is in fact good for surround but not that good for music;I was going to get the sm video from crutchfield but then they discontinued it and I got the cc-2 for $50.00 more
I can't say that I'm not pleased with it because it matches well with the sm-165,because it's all 100 watts a piecefor all the speakers, whereas the Sm video is 175.

Bottom Line:
i upgraded to the CC-2 from the CC-1 which i thought was quite a good speaker for it's size. the main differance i have found is that the CC-2 sound is much larger, and more expansive. it retains the same rich clarity of the CC-1 while opening up the sound for a bigger feel. after some experimenting with the tone control the sound is impressive.

setting the tone control is very subjective and even though i am using Infinity RS 2's for my mains i had to adjust the control, two marks toward the brighter sound, before it all seemed to come together.
i'm very happy with this speaker and contrary to what some people think, i really love the way it looks. (very modern) not like having a big box on your TV.
Terrific Speaker

Sounds excellent, but proper vertical orientation is important (very directional - be sure to use the little stand that comes with it...)
