Just got this player for about 180 us $. The 59 big brother is an Elite and it sounds like it. For that kind of money, it's a deal. I would'nt pay the 450$ as Pioneer suggest for that player, it doesnt sound a good as the new (1999 tech.) 450$ player. But compares to a regular player, which is none, the legato link gives a very good, lifelike and harmonic sounds. The single disc slut is very practical, in my opinion much more than the one in the new player (placed in the roulette rack). So, if you can find this player (discountinued) do not hesitate, it's a charm, it sounds good, looked good, and finally, it is not expensive.
