Electrocompaniet ECC-1 CD Players

Electrocompaniet ECC-1 CD Players

DESCRIPTION

The ECC 1 features both balanced and single-ended outputs, and a coaxial digital output. The analogue output filter is optimized to reduce the phase shift at higher frequencies, thereby leaving the high frequency music information intact.

I have this machine almost fifteen years now. Its main futures are, fully and really balanced so each channel seperated and not divided!. It contains a Philips pro 2 engine which does not move or tremor because of the slide above the ecc1. And it weights a > 20kg plus so external interference is minimal. The sound is clear, open and analog compared to a Cello or a Krell. And its gain lies especially in the balanced area! The right music for it is Jazz, Blues, Classic , Acoustic music and above all Voices.

It still runs good although the last year the reading of the cd 's asks more time. The minor points are, a small display and a poor remote control. Would i buy it again? Yes, i even think to renewal the laser and upgrade it. It will certainly last another 10 years.
