powerful, good bass. nice shock resist fubtion(25 sec)

noisy when serching the song(motor noise), no line out.
no remote.

i bought this cd player for those boring subway days. so i need a cd player could play loud and has good shock protection system.
i am glad i buy this one, never regret. very reliable, this one will last forever.
for the up side, the power out put is more than enough for me, i never turn up the volume more then 7(1-10) for the noisy subway enviroment. and the shock protect system is quite good. when i turn on the ESP(electronic skip protection)it never skip or stop the music no matter what i am doing(like running fast for catch the tran). sometimes when i was walking, i even forgot to turn on the ESP and the player still work fine without a hup.
now the downside. First, NO LINE OUT! come on, phillips, it wont cost you more than $5 for this function!
second, when the laser head are moving the motor will make some noise. but this is a minor problem 'cause in the normal situation you wont hear it unless you are in a very quite room. third, you have to move out the cd for bettery changing.
overall this is a good unit especially at this price. if you like a reliable cd player which can play loud and has good shock protection, this one is for you.
