rating  5 of 5
MSRP  19.00
Description: On the inside, our PDO cables use heavy metal free, high-grade polymer optical fibers that take advantage of high-speed communications-reflecting technology in the optical layer. This means that they are low-loss and deliver reliable, high speed, wide frequency connections.

Review NaN of

Price Paid:  $30.00 from outlawaudio.com

Summary:
Price paid includes $10 shipping.

The cable is pretty - a pearl white with large, easily grasped heads. White is easy to see in the usually dark rack behinds. And the color makes it easy to silhouette the coupler for orientation.

It is very flexible which makes it easy to handle and coil, but conversely might make it easier to kink.

Sonicly (if such a term can be applied to a digital cable) it does fine. Seems to send all the bits straight through.

I've seen no better Toslink. Easily competitive with other brands at less then half the price.

Strengths:
Solid interlock
Flexibility
Price

Weaknesses:
Would have preferred a shorter length for this particular setup.

Outlaw Audio does not accept returns on cables.

Shipping cost is higher than expected.

Review NaN of , from Memphis, TN

Price Paid:  $20.00 from OutlawAudio.com

Summary:
I purchased one Outlaw PDO at the same time I ordered a pair of their PCA analog interconnects, shortly after they became available. It replaced a BetterCables optical, which in turn had replaced a Monster Cable optical cable. The PDO is a very solidly made and flexible optical cable. I could detect no sonic difference between it and the BetterCables optical cable. Granted, optical cables should all sound much the same if made properly, but it's worth noting that the BetterCables optical sells for $60 for a 1-meter length and $80 for a 2-meter length compared to the PDO's $20 for 1.8 meters (the 2-meter Monster Cable Lightspeed 200 that I had used previously sells for $80 at Crutchfield, by the way). This is as good an optical cable as you could ask for, at a great price.

Strengths:
well built, very reasonably priced
