Review 1 of 14
Price Paid:
$99.00
from Stereo Design Summary: I bought these cables at a local Hi-End audio retailer. At first, I wasn't too eager to listen to these as the price point was less than half of the cables I usually buy. I am a firm believer that cables can truly degrade the sound quality of the system, and so I don't mind spending a few hundred on a nice pair of RCAs.
But after listening to these, and a pair that was almost 3 times the price difference, I was quite impressed. They provided the same detail and punch as much more pricier cables, and were leagues better than other cable brands such as Monster, which I feel are a total scam.
If you want a great pair of cables, without breaking the bank, these are the way to go. You do pay a price with the PINK color, but then again, the sound is amazing for the price.
I eventually replaced all my RCA interconnects to this brand of Sonic Link cables, and have never looked back since! Strengths: Great bass control. Exceptional detail and ability to maintain soundstage. Very musical sounding cables.
Solid gold connectors. I also like the flexibility of loosening and tightening the connectors, and also the added flexibility the spring on the connectors provides Weaknesses: The color is about all the weakness this cable has. Similar Products Used: Monster, Audioquest, Black Mountain

Price Paid:
$100.00
from CanadianHifi Summary: Great cable for the money, you can't go wrong with SonicLink Whisper. It is flexible and comes in good packaging, but the connectors are what I like about this cable. This brand is later changed its name to Black Rhodium, both are not cool anyway. It sounds quite neutral and has enough detail from the top to the bottom. It is an excellent choice for a cable under $150. Strengths: Smooth tops and bass extension; not courlor music too much, very neutral. Weaknesses: It's PINK, YUCK! can be overbright at high volume Similar Products Used: KIMBER Kable PBJ, ... many in this price range

Price Paid:
$100.00
from UK shop Summary: This cable was tested against similarly priced silver on copper interconnect and another best by awardee cable, qnex2.non silver.
Van den hul d102
Tributaries SCA 100
QED Qnex 2 Strengths: At its price point, there is non to match its prowess most especially since the cable presented a very liquid beguiling mids. If vocal rendition is your priority, this excells over the QED Q2.
Soundstaging was equally at par with the other cables except the VDH.
Lost out to the tributaries and VDH, but at its modest cost than the 2, there is no contest. The QED is its closest price match, i would choose this over the qed. Weaknesses: none Similar Products Used: above

Price Paid:
$70.00 Summary: Bought this 2nd hand and compared it to DNM Reson w/ bullet plugs. I was amazed at the clarity and detail of this cable between my NAD 541i and Arcam Delta 290 amp. Extremely impressive performance indeed. Strengths: Detail and focus soundstage. Great timing. Weaknesses: Colour Similar Products Used: DNM Reson

Review 5 of 14
Price Paid:
$112.00
from Canadian Hi-Fi Summary: Formerly known as Sonic Link Silver Pink/Whisper, now called Black Rhodium Rhythm which, according to Glen Trafford of Canadian Hi-Fi, are both the same cables with the only difference of the jacket being white instead of pink. By replacing the Qed Qunex 2 - which I had been using for more than half a year - with the Rhythm interconnets make my system sing so much better than it used to. I believe I've found the perfect match for my system which includes:
Marantz CD6000SE
Nad C350
Tannoy 3-way tower speaker
Audioquest Type 2+ & 4+ (personally prefer Type 2+ as I am not a big fan of strong bass)
It is needless to extend this review by saying how good these cables are as the 10 reviewers above have already said it all. Glen Trafford carries a full range of Black Rhodium products that can be ordered online at www.canadianhifi.com or by phone at tel: 306-522-4434. No, I do not work for the store, I am indeed just a happy customer who feels the need of spreading the good words about the excellent service provided by Glen. Strengths: Everything Weaknesses: None on my system Similar Products Used: Monster, Audioquest Emerald, Qued Qunex 2
