Review 2 of 15

Summary:
I tried the blind test recomended by Mr. Rene Rivo from the Philippines. I compared my Ixos Gamma 6003's against guage 12 standard lamp cord manufactured by the Congo Electric & Wiring Co.

The Congo wires were more transparent, fluid, detailed. Soundstage was multi-dimensional. Compared to this, the Ixos was congested, veiled and dark-sounding.

I knew I was suckered the minute I hooked it up. Its a complete RIPOFF! I pity those people who bought from those five rolls Mr. Rivo II has sold.

Can anyone advise how I can get my money back!!??

Review 4 of 15

Summary:
I purchased about 30 feet of this cable (prewired with banana clips and terminals) from Accessories 4 Less www.ac4l.com. I am running the cable into my AR310HO mains and Cs25Ho center channel in my home theater system. I had previously been using some monster cable speaker wire (14ga)and never believed that cable could make such a difference in overall sound. I am only running a cheap Pioneer 457 Receiver, but the difference in overall presence (bass, mid range and treble) was amazing. It sounds like my system has not only better response, detail, and clarity, but an increase in overall sound levels as well. I can't wait to get my new Denon 3802 receiver. I also picked up IXos RCA cables, and a silver series component video cable, and they are outstanding as well. For the price, I really don't think that you will get much better build construction or sound reproduction.

Strengths:
Wonderful rich sound. Improved detail and clarity, richer, cleaner bass

Weaknesses:
none for the money

Review 5 of 15

Summary:
I've not heard this in my system but plenty of times in a friends, Marantz amp and Mission floorstanders (don't know which ones, but we all know what missions sound like :).

I've not heard this cable put a foot wrong in that system, and couldn't hear a difference a/b ing with the 606 cable (now discontinued, but 2-3 times the cost of 6003). With my speakers, Naim intros, even with the same Marantz amp there was not quite the sweetness I'm used to in the midrange with the 606. I would expect this to be more evident with a more detailed amp.

Ignore what one of the other reviewers says here about this cable not being screened, perhaps he's thinking of the interconnects, a loudspeaker cable does not need to be screened and none to my knowledge are. I can think of extreme circumstances where this might be needed, but it would wreak havok with the sound quality and current carrying capabilities.

Strengths:
even performance

Weaknesses:
may not let detailed speakers do their best

Similar Products Used:
ixos 606 Pakora, QED anniversary, naim cables
