Review 1 of 35

Price Paid:  $15.00 from pff long time ago

Summary:
I found this cable again in a box,and tried it in my system, wich is totally different trough the years.
When I bought it I was using elipson floorstanders, and it sounded well in the time on a cambridge amp.
I changed it later for an other brand, and it went in a box.
A few years later I tried it on Sonus Faber speakers, wich sounded hard and harsh,so it took only a few minutes and I replaced it again.
Now I am using tube gear and apogee ribbons, and this afternoon I thought I give it a trie.
What a big difference...it matches unbelievebly good!
There is a good stage,a natural sound,and even a nice 3d image.
Only in the bas in my system, its a little soft and lacks bottom.
So this cable reacts strongly on the system you put it in..
I did not suspect such a good performence, even comparing to my usual cables, wich cost many times the price of the 3.1.
In absolut terms it lacks some trebbledetail, but it makes music.

Strengths:
music maker for a low budget
midrange matches well with tube gear

Weaknesses:
stiff to strip
performence strongly depends on system matching

Review 2 of 35

Price Paid:  $5.00 from richer sounds Edinbu

Summary:
DOnt know where some of these people get the ideas about harshness and over bright. This cable adds warmth to most systems. I tried replacing it with Chord Rumour 4 bi-wire and that was a bright and horrid cable. In most ways the cable talk was more controlled and subtle with far better control over the bass. Maybe these peoples systems are harsh. im using some very high end gear... Audiolab 8000Q pre Audiolab 8000M monoblocks Linn Ikemi cd player B&W P5 speakers and all i can say is it takes a lot of money to better the cable talk. in fact i had to move to kimber 8VS just to get a big enough improvement.

Strengths:
deep and powerfull bass, smooth and slightly warm midrange and sweet if not overly detailed treble

Weaknesses:
lacks the last ounce of transparency and detailing but at the price what do you expect :-)

Similar Products Used:
DNM reson, QED qudos, Chord Rumour, QED silver anniversary

Review 3 of 35

Price Paid:  $0.00

Summary:
They don't rock? Pls! I listen to progressive metal where every single part of the instrument is vital to really appreciate the talent put into this kind of music. Spin Dream Theater's Awake or Ark's Burn The Sun and you can hear the wicked tight bass and how everything else blends perfectly. The more it burns it, the more it sound great. If you listen to metal music, this cable is all you need, at no unnecessary extra cash. Btw, if Mission 731 Denon 3600 Pioneer 535

Strengths:
Tight bass. Perfect blend.

Weaknesses:
The damn cable is hard to strip.

QED Silver Anniversary

Review 4 of 35

Price Paid:  $3.00 from Miller Bros Bradford

Summary:
Try similar priced products from Ixos and QED, this stuff doesn''t rate. Period. Tried it on budget and mid range gear, a good cable shouldn''t colour, this does, adds grain, harshness and sharpens treble to cause fatigue. Also isn''t easy to lay out of the way as it quite unflexible and is ugly, and difficult to terminate.

Strengths:
Maybe good to string yourself up with after a listen ?

Weaknesses:
Loads.

Similar Products Used:
Ixos, QED, Soniclink, Nordost, Gale
