Summary:
The Audiodyne Reference digital cable is truly a high end reference point at a very reasonable price. Previously in my system between a Dti-Pro32 with upgraded software and power supply and an updated Muse processor, I have used, rated from worst to best, an Illuminati D-60, an underrated Audio Alchemy powered cable and the regular silver Audiodyne. Since I stil own these cable, I occasionally compare them. The new Audiodyne Reference is significantly better than these cables and, system willing, will allow you to hear your cd's as never before. This cable is significantly more transparent. It only takes a few cuts to hear the difference. Much more low level detail and air around the instruments coupled with more transient snap creates a wider and deeper soundstage. Even with more upper midrange presence than the regular Audiodyne(the best of the previously used cables) the sound is balanced with a deep, rich midrange and a full bass. In a finely tuned high-end system this cable alone can reveal much about recordings techniques and extend the rest of your system to its CD maximum. Highly recommended. Audiodyne has a great mail order website(audiodyne.com) and sells excellent high end silver interconnects,bi wired speaker cables and power cables. I know because these replaced Transparent Audio Super interconnects and Goertz M2 biwires in my system.
