Analysis Plus Oval 10 power cable is a very pleasant surprise. I had very serious problems with the power supply in my TT, Linn Axis. Having Cardas phono, Basic Plus arm and Ortofon Contrapunkt A, it should be a very nice, balanced sound. For a long time I had problems with the power supply of the TT, and even after “cleaning up” some parts, sound was not what it should be. Turns out those vibrations that TT’s power supply made were too much for the entire system to function properly. I started experimenting with the cables, mains, etc. After I tried all kinds of the cables, including Nordost Shiva, I went with Oval 10 – vibrations were almost gone, sibilants sensitivity was completely gone, deep, controlled bass finally comes thru. After some more changes down the line, but almost all in cables, IC and PC, I have airy presentation of very pleasant clarity, with warm but controlled sound across the audible range, with soundstage vivid and palpable. From Déjà vu to Momentary Laps of Reason, I have a great little system, after improving the AC power delivery. And Oval 10 has a lot to do with it, in the first place by chasing away my doubts that power cable can have that much influence, especially on the overall sound of the turntable.
