As an entry level product, these cables surprised me. At a very nice price, Tonik still proved itself to be a Kimber with all major characteristics: tonal balance, dynamic and clean. With a "thicker" bass and a litte bit less open, it sound a bit more "neutral" than the PBJ and Timbre.

It is just a smooth,full,deep soundig cable with detail and warmth.

Oh Yeah, good for budget system.

The Kimber Kable Tonik is better than you think. For those who can not afford the higher priced Kimbers should consider The Tonik a true entry level interconnect.
The Tonik to my ears,have a smooth and full sound. I t is not sharp nor harsh but it has detail. I have The PBJ's and I love how open and clean they sound but The Tonik have a fuller sound. PBJ's have a tighter bass sound and The Tonik bass seem to be open or fuller. The mid range has a warm sound. Sounds of electric guitars(Rock) are smooth sounding less edgy.
Now,if you are looking to spend more on Kimber..... Try The Kimber Kable Hero. Truly a wonderful interconnect. The Kimber Timbre I've have yet to hear but from reading what others said The Tonik has the bass that The Timbre lack.
In conclusion, if you are intrested on buying Kimbers but are not sure and you do not want too break the bank, please try The Tonik they are pleasing to the ears.
