Review 1 of 1

Price Paid:  $400.00 from Longplayer stereo

Summary:
The Cardas Cross interconnect is a step above the Cardas Quadlink in the Cardas line of interconnect and speaker lines. This is a great cable in terms of soundstage and the ability to reveal details of instruments, which allows each instrument played to be heard with great detail. However it can also reveal poor recordings as well, which is something to be considered when purchasing this cable, so the quadlink could be better in this case. This cable is capable of competing with interconnects costing much more, and in terms of quality, it is a thick sturdy cable, however flexible and decent looking with its new brown color- yes, Cardas discontinued the turquoise blue for brown. Same price for XLR or RCA, however it is not cheap at $500 per meter. Yet it could be cheaper than replacing some equipment for that extra bit of that extra soundstage audiophiles are looking for.

Equipment used:

Amp Parasound Halo A21
Preamp B&K Reference 5
CD Player Roksan Kandy
Line Protector Monster Power HTS 3500
Speakers JSE Infinite Slope 1.8
Speaker cable Cardas Quadlink 2 Meters for high (Bi-wire)
Cardas Twinlink 3 Meters for bass (Bi-wire)
Interconnect Cardas Cross 1 meter from Preamp to CD (RCA)
Cardas Cross 1 meter from Preamp to Amp (XLR)

Strengths:
Revealing Cable, can be used with the best equipment. Very flexable compared to some other cables

Weaknesses:
Not cheap

Marantz MA-9S2 Power AmplifierThe list above has one tenet that I continue to hold true: high powered amplifiers are necessary to reproduce the full dynamic range of music with most speakers. This became apparent when I changed from the 100 Watt per channel Bella Extreme 100 to the 250 Watt.....

Aune Mini Headphone DAC User Review

The unit arrived from China well packed and everything seem to be in place. No external abuse by the carriers. The only problem was the power supply it came with. The box came with a cheap step-down converter.
