Review 1 of 1

Price Paid:  $280.00 from sunaudio

Summary:
I have got this IC for testing and comparing with my Harmonic Technology Truth Link. IC. Normal I hear very easy all differences between IC-s comparing to my lets call reference IC. This time I was surprised. Completely surprised. Panther and Harmonic Tech Truth Link play nearly the same. The difference is maybe 1, 2 percent but it is on the border of perception. They are SO similar. Panther is maybe a bit lighter what can give impression that is better with looking for details but it is almost not hearable difference.
What is good in Panther? This cable is clearly better than cheaper Audioquest cables like Diamondback (I own too), Coral or some others. Cheap Audioquest cables are general not very good IMHO.

Strengths:
Nice packing in velvet sack, plastic covers on terminators and battery control.

Sound is very well balanced, dynamic and fulbody. Details are in the right amount in the price range. Do not insert own character to the presentation. Really impresive.

Weaknesses:
It could be extremely cute if control diodes can shine in the night with their beautiful green light. I believe my wife could adore it ;-)

After some years (6?) the battery exchange will be necessary.

Stiff.

Magnepan Magneplanar MG 1.6 User Review

In my judgment the advantage of the MG 1.6 (and other Magneplars), stems from the following: = It is a full-range dipole, and = It has uses low-mass, planar drivers for the whole audio spectrum. These attributes account for its extraordinary clarity, coherence, “air”...
