Summary:
This review is the for the balanced version. I must say that I'm disappionted with these cables! (I'm comparing them to my VDH "The First") The highs and the mids opened up quite a bit, becoming more focused, but, the bass almost disappeared! I used a Radio Shack sound meter to verify my listening tests...the results, like the changes in sound were not subtle. The frequencies of 31.5 and 40 hz were greatly reduced by the "AP" cable. I find this very puzzling that a cable could alter the frequency spectrum so much! Dud cable perhaps?

Strengths:
Clean "more focused" midrange and highs.

Weaknesses:
Major loss of bass impact.

Summary:
Extremely neutral, clean interconnect that just steps out of the way. Adds "sweet" air to highs, mids are pure and loads of bass. Wonderful product and great value for the money. Was surprised to get locking RCA's as well.

Strengths:
Value for the $. Locking RCA plugs a plus.
