Summary:
the 1200 is always going to be a classic, but if you want something more then this would be a great choice. after owning a pair of 1210's for a while, i decided to try something new. overall im glad i made the switch over to vestax. if you're on the market for turntable, and don't want to buy technics, then buy these. although stanton and numark also have their own 1200 worthy competitors, vestax has always been known for quality when it comes to dj'ing equipment and have better track record when it comes to turntables.

Strengths:
stronger motor = more torque compared to 1200, straight arm (hardly skips compared to s-arm), solid construction (this table is heavy duty just like your typical 1200), higher pitch adjustment compared to the 1200, improved lowered platter (platter on old model was too high), stop and start speed adjustments, reverse button, recessed power switch, ultra pitch (useful when doing crazy transitions such as hip-hop to drum & bass)

Weaknesses:
doesn't come with a dustcover (if you happen to care), cheap plastic 45 adapter (this problem can be easily fixed)

Similar Products Used:
technics mk2 1210, vestax pdx-2000 (mk1), vestax pdx a1
