Summary:
My TD 180 has been nothing but grief. I have replaced the strobe 5 times and the motor is way underpowered. The warranty work was a joke and having it "fixed" is as overpriced as the unit itself. I guess you can throw together a piece of junk like this turntable if your name is Thorens and get away with it.

Strengths:
O.K. sound on the rare occasion that it actually works.

Weaknesses:
Motor, strobe, craftmanship, value, etc. etc. etc.
