Price Paid:  $200.00 from DJWorld--North Haven

Summary:
I use to be a club DJ and only used Technics 1200's in the clubs--I could not afford them at home so I had lower grade Technics for about 20 yrs and they did the job, why I went to different brand, I don't know.

Strengths:
Solid construction, nice torque on the platters.

Weaknesses:
If you are not a scratch DJ, don't buy these for straight beat mixing--the sound is distored with the cartridges that come with the table (520SK I believe). The distortion is really pronounced towrads the end of the record. Stay with an S shaped tone arm model if you are gonna do beat mixing. I have read quite a few comments from DJ's at Stanton's website forums--and they seem to say the same about this model table.
