Review 1 of 2

Price Paid:  $0.00

Summary:
I got to admit, after barely trying these turntables out I am very impressed. No, these are definitely not 1200's but I'll tell you what it can be the closes thing. With some newer features of course. If you want something that's affordable and can still do the job, I highly recommend these.

Strengths:
Straight Tone-arm nearly eliminates skipping. Also reverse play capabalities gives a new dimension and creativity to scratching.

Weaknesses:
The right turntable power button gets lost in the way of the mixer if using the now standard sideways set up. Not having dust covers is a minor issue but to know that other Stanton packages like the Platinum packs include dust covers on their turntables isn't a good thing as they are considered the lower model tables.

Review 2 of 2

Price Paid:  $350.00 from eBay

Summary:
Turntable is comparable in play quality and durability to the reference standard "Tech 12", but at about $150.00 less. Additionally, the Stanton has some features absent from the Technics model, namely a full digital output (for recording CDs directly from the table) and 33/45/78 handling. Aesthetically, the Stanton is hard to beat. All-in-all, a great unit.

Strengths:
Handles warped LPs amazingly. Arm just refuses to skip. Built like a brick shoothouse. Nice to look at, nice to use.

Weaknesses:
Like most DJ catering tables, no auto stop. No standard dust cover (but why would you want to cover such a nice-looking piece of machinery anyways?

Similar Products Used:
Tech 12. Cheapies from Pioneer, Sony, etc.
