Review 1 of 1

Price Paid:  $1499.00 from Wellington, NZ

Summary:
I purchased my 2Xperience as a result of falling in love with my original ProJect 1.2 a few years back. The dealer convinced me of the improvement even with my humble OM20S cartridge.

I have seriously spent the last two weeks buying records 'cause this thing sounds so damned good!

If you're in the market for a reasonably serious deck it's well worth the outlay.

System:
ProJect 2Xpression w/Ortofon OM20S
Myryad Z110 CD player
Musical Fidelity A3.2 integrated amp
ProAc Studio 125 Speakers
Slinkylinks cables throughout.

Strengths:
Deep, controlled and dynamic bass.
Sweet, extended treble resolution.
Wide and realistic soundstage.
Seems to reduce surface noise quite a lot - amybe just 'cause it sounds so good?
LOOKS. My God, this thing screams "C O O L"! LOL

Weaknesses:
Mucking about with changing the belt for speed changes.
Buy the speedbox. I did it helped.
otherwise no weaknesses at this price.

Similar Products Used:
ProJect 1.2
Thorens TD125

Magnepan Magneplanar MG 1.6 User Review

In my judgment the advantage of the MG 1.6 (and other Magneplars), stems from the following: = It is a full-range dipole, and = It has uses low-mass, planar drivers for the whole audio spectrum. These attributes account for its extraordinary clarity, coherence, “air”...
