Review 1 of 1

Price Paid:  $300.00 from Private

Summary:
Excellent table and plenty of areas for future upgrades. I prefer rock (60's/ 70's) and this table is very revealing and exciting. the soundstage is wonderful with the music "floating effortlessly". base is tight and natural sounding with beautiful mids (classic records zep III acoustic stuff is amazing) and the highs are a delight. I have grado gold cartridge with the original micro arm but feel that a better cartridge will get even more out of this deck. may rewire the arm in future.

Engineering friends have comented on the fantastic build of these machines, should go forever.

highly recomended and easy to operate.

my system
Naim flat cap, pre amp and power amp
Linn Keilidh speakers

Strengths:
Solid build - they really were known for their engineering and it shows

Weaknesses:
None that is apparent to me

Similar Products Used:
Tried Linn Axis

Magnepan Magneplanar MG 1.6 User Review

In my judgment the advantage of the MG 1.6 (and other Magneplars), stems from the following: = It is a full-range dipole, and = It has uses low-mass, planar drivers for the whole audio spectrum. These attributes account for its extraordinary clarity, coherence, “air”...
