Great budget cartridge. I paid $23 w/ shipping on eBay. You would need to spent a lot more to get a better sound. Don't let the price fool you. It's an eliptical needle and engineered by Audio Technica. I used it w/ the included universal mount for a 1/2 inch standard mount TT.
The sound is very detailed and musical. I espcially found that it did a great job for my old jazz stuff - the cymbil crashes and high hats are amazing.
I'm only giving it 4 stars because - let's face it - there ARE better cartridges out there. In terms of a great budget cartridge (under $50) I feel it's a 4.5 or 5 rating. You may also wish to consider the Ortofon MC-10 if you'd prefer a flatter response.

clean detailed sound. Weaknesses:
none for me but there might be some who might find the sound slightly bright for their tastes - I love music w/ a live quality and so this cartridge suits me very well. Similar Products Used:
