Around Oct 2011, my friend lend me a power cord of 8 ft long "Wireworld -- Silver Electra Power Conditioning Cord (SEP) - OCC Silver-Clad Copper Fluxfield Design" with a US type Wireworld connectors for me to connect to my ML332. What I found was my ML332 seems to be enhanced to a much higher level. Even sound stage, depth, & details are much much better than before. In order to verify this, I took it to one of my friend's place who also got a set of ML 332 and make a hearing test ; as a result, we both agreed that it has much improvement. Although this cable is not cheap, I have no choice. If this cable is available in your area, try it, don't forget to let me know your findings. Cheers!

Just bought a preowned ML332. My humble opinion. If you find one don't hesitate get it. Period. One of the best amps around that will make you enjoy and love your cd collection like never before be it rock, classical, jazz, vocals. A definite five stars plus.

I spent two weeks to create the best enviroment for ML 332 to bring the maximum performans of its own capability. I have Revel Ultima Studio which is known as most less colored loudspeaker and Kimber select 3036 speaker cable has been used to connect to ML 332. The Audio Research SL 16 is then connected with Kimber select KS 1130 balanced silver cable. The Mark Levinson No 37 CD transport with Questman Audio DA converter were being used. As you may say that all of the associated audio equipment are recognized as High-End audio equipment. I am wrighting to say that ML 332 is very neutral. There was nothing added or nothing less than original recording sound. It is capable of handling very low frequency with the punch and I can appreciate the damping factor of 800 at 20Hz. The sound stage was big and well focused and deep. Overall there is someting missing that is the exitement. The contrast was somewhat bright and I couldnt feel much air around the instrument. The high is extended and well focused but the spot light in the pure darkness effect was not there. Another word it was not 3D dimentional sound. I was expecting more from $7000 power amprifier but I should say that all the specification is within the High-End level and it reproduces the precise sound of what the recording is ment to sound.

I have change my old ml 23 by this ml 332 amp.
In my opinion this amp is neutral it have a nice timbre correct mids and bass.the voices sound very clear. But my old ml 23 is by far. much superior than this 3 series amp.this amp is impersonal there is no emotion on it.The old levinson amp are much more smooth clarity and delicate.the music sound with proyection and naturality.
I have sold it. And change it again by the old real mark levinson amp.27.5

Weakness:

Check out your electricity bill

The mere fact that the 4-series amps are "voiced" to sound like their forebears will attest to the fact that 7 long audiophile years ago the guys in white coats at Madrigal already got it right. I'm just so glad there are all those wealthy guys out there who can afford to buy these products brand new so guys like me can take them off their hands later. Soundwise, all No.33 series power amps share a common characteristic. Effortless drive. These guys can handle 4 ohm loads at 80db or less and you will still hear every detail and every note. Even at low levels everything remains in scale owing greatly to its inherently low noise floor. It may not be punchy but it excels in overall balance and tonality. Bought used it simply can't be beat. It will outperform ANYTHING under $3000 when used with demanding speaker loads. Bought retail that is another story.

I must say that you mention the name Mark Levinson and you will seem to invoke some very different and sometimes rude opinions .It reminds me of Linn. Which is the kind of product that everyone like to compare to and say they are better than for so many reasons. Myself I will have to go with Alvaro and Sasha. I listened to a long line of amps before I made my final purchase choice and I agree. I find the Levinson to be the most neutral and natural power amp that can bring the best out of any speaker ( electrostatic or dynamic). I feel it is their best product in their affordable?? line of amps.
It presents the music in a way that just makes sence. You do not have to stretch what you are hearing to believe it is the real thing. The rest of the equipment willing of course. It is balanced from top to bottom very well with bass exrtensiion and quality that bettered the FPB 600 Krell on Dunlavy SC IV's. I am not particularly against Krell as their seems to be a split between these two camps like shall I say Ford or Chev. I do own a KRC -3 which works great I might add. When I auditioned the Dunlavy's I listened to a Sonic Frontiers Line 3 and it sounded wonderfull partnered to the Levinson. If I can get the cash together I might consider upgrading. I have heard few amps that partner with tubes and solidstate so well.

I also find that it bellies it's big amp status by sounding very fast, light and quick. I do not know of a small amp that does better, with drive and brute power to spare. I am not a product of the month kind of person so my purchase will have to last for more than 10 years. I am also not into high maitenance equipment. I chose on sound quality first and reliability second but very important. If it is in repair 1/3 of its life who needs it. I have owned a tube amp in the past and it was fine but not something I could turn on and forget about. Once I added up all my requirements the Lenvison was the sole winner. The best part is that once you amortize the cost over several years it becomes very affordable entertainment. I am sure there is better out there but I could either not afford it or I have not heard it yet.

I did a test with this piece of equipment(buddy tom's) on my Carver Al III plus's I'm powering them with a Carver Sunfire and a Levinson 39 CD. All interconnects done by JPS. Myself along with 10 of my Audiophile friends (all who love Nad,Meridian, and Madrigal equipment) we performed the blindfold test and chose the Carver 36/50 times with 5 types of music. Peter Nero, Miles Davis, Stevie Ray Vaugh, Bob Marley and Led Zeppelin. I couldn't believe it, the owner of the amp favored the carver 8 out of 10 times! The levinson is a work of art don't get me wrong but it is for a unique person. I hate to do this but (don't forget I own Levinson equipment 39 cd), but what is a work of art SOMETHING THAT IS GOOD ONLY TO LOOK AT. I still don't understand how we came about that conclusion, maybe the Levinson doesn't match well with the AL III but they sound better than his Celestion A3. The carver was agreed upon as the winner 9 to 1, "what's that dealers number was asked from 2 of my friends"

I'm sorry Madrigal, but I have to go childish on this one (sorry tom)(Sucks, Junk, Trash, Crap, Garbage, Feces, Manure, Dung, etc.) I would have given it zero stars but that option wasn't available, plus dominick suggested that the companys products most applicable use would be when your trying to spend as much money as fast as you can remember the movie Brewster's Millions with Richard Pryor.
