Review 1 of 4

Price Paid:  $177.00 from ebay

Summary:
I'm updating from a older denon analog receiver. Boy, did I not know what I was missing by not going to this receiver earlier. The sound is clean like my old denon, but comes with all the sound fields. Makes everything sound great. The price by getting on ebay was a steal. If your looking for top-of-the-line look elsewhere, but for everyone else this is more than you'll need.

Strengths:
Sound quality Sound fields Price on ebay

Weaknesses:
Remote not learning but can find many others to cover that.

Similar Products Used:
Onkyo Sony Denon Pioneer

Review 2 of 4

Price Paid:  $300.00 from ebay

Summary:
This is a very good reciever although it is sometimes a little bright. I've had it for about a month now and I am very pleased. I don't even have that great of speakers (some cheap JBL Northridge ones) but it just brings on the sound. Cinema DSPs are very good (I usually all DSPs but Yamaha has a few good ones)

Strengths:
Great sound quality.

Weaknesses:
A little bright.

Review 3 of 4

Price Paid:  $475.00 from future shop

Summary:
this receiver is very good. it has alot of hook ups. and the sound is very strong. it doesnt get very hot and if you do run it for like 4 hours at high volume, it will cool down in like 5 minutes if you shut it down. the speaker a + b selection is very nice to. i am using the speaker b for a zone b tower speakers and i can be running a 5.1 dvd and then turn on speaker b's at the same time and it takes whatever the fronts are playing in the main room and it plays the same thing on the zone b's. at high volume i must say to. you can also just have sone b's on the radio and everything else off.

Strengths:
really good for the price. im only using 5.1 currently but planning to uprgrade to 6.1 shortly

Weaknesses:
every thing is really good. the only thing i can see could be better would be that. i have small speakers in my 5.1 set up and i have them selected as "small" in the amp set up. but i cant set the zone b's for "large" so they are the same as the mains. so each time i want to listen to the zone b's at high volume i need to go into the setup and change it to large
