I bought this unit to replace a very old Pioneer receiver that finally fizzed out. It centers a small stereo system in my bedroom. It drives a pair of Axiom M2 speakers on stands and also an old Sony 8 inch powered sub. This system is not the ultra high tech but the RX-4503 has an optional bluetooth module that allows me to stream songs from my iPhone or MacBook laptop. The receiver is powerful enough for my space and can really rock the room when pushed. it is a 2.1 so it has a line out for the sub which I like better than using the second set of speaker wires to hook up the sub. The remote is very complete and has all the functions available. For about $170 I have very clean, powerful 2.1 unit that is even better because of the optional Bluetooth module. I can lie in bed and use the laptop or iPhone to stream songs and I marvel at the clear crisp sound in my room. This is not a high dollar home theater unit, (no video connections) it is a Stereo (2 channel) 100 watts per channel rig that does everything I want it to do. I do not listen to AM or FM so I have no idea how that works... I have over 20 days of music in my laptop and no commercials or loud mouth disc jokeys, so I never listen to the radio. I am very happy with this unit and it has given me everything I wished for, and at a Super price. This could be the perfect system for the music lover who wants a great stereo with subwoofer rig for an office, den, or bedroom for a few hundred dollars (not thousands)... The Bluetooth module is just frosting on the cake. Easy hook up, simple operation, fantastic remote, and the Bluetooth, it is really a great buy. I honestly didn't know there was a receiver with these features available, so glad I found it. I gave it 4 stars because it isn't the ultimate super receiver, but is sure satisfies me. Really Amazing for the price.
