Bottom Line: I bought it one year ago. It is very estetic tuner. I compate it with Sansui TU-717 while they connected to same antenna. FM reception is almost same. NAD S400 a little bit better. But sound quality is much higher then the TU-717 and also Onkyo T-9990.
Bass, mid and high frequency is very well ballanced. Noting disturbs you.
Made in Denmark. Very quality parts are used with. A high quality toroidal transformatör is used and placed very far away from the board.

Bottom Line: I give it 5 stars because it deserved no matter on design or on it's sound quality that received from the broadcast station. It offers a bright and clear sound with quite background (usually there are a lot of noise go together and it is very irretative but not happen to this NAD S400 Silver line radio receiver).
Also user friendly on this product to offer a very simple way to seek the differnt radio stations, and it is just like piece of cake on everytime to enter to the desired radio station from the preset without problem.
Dim blue light from the monitor that creates a very calm and harmonious feeling.
I'm very happy to have a receiver like this.
Thank you to NAD engineer team
