Summary:
I bought this Kenwood receiver about 3 years ago. It has, so far, worked perfectly. I have had no problems with it and have found it to be very reliable. It does its job and it does it almost flawlessly. It pushes, a very clean, 100 watts/ch. It is a great and affordably priced receiver.

Review 3 of 3

Summary:
I bought this receiver, rated at 100 w/ch., for more casual listening. It's in the room with weights and fitness equipment. It's a 2-channel receiver with lots of inputs and a remote. I opened the first one and installed it. The internal switching system was defective. Switching among the inputs wasn't working, causing you to hear the cd or tuner in the background and lots of noise in the right channel. I returned it as defective. The second unit worked fine. The receiver sounded pretty decent, considering it's price, which was only about $220. The volume control was a little sloppy, caused by the motorized control. One comment... this is a loud receiver. I was skeptical about it's power rating, but I drove it near that rating and the power is there. After about two or 2.5 years, this receiver has failed, due to the identical problem. It worked fine and then, on next day, it failed. I live alone so I know nobody caused the problem. Kenwood insulted my intelligence, saying I need to check connections. The headphones also show this problem, and it's with the tuner also. They also said I should reset the unit, plugging it in and holding the power button. Both failed to solve the problem. Their only other advice is to take it in for service. It should also be stated that this receiver was only used a couple of hours per week. I won't put anymore money into this piece of junk. I wish I had paid the price difference for a GOOD receiver, like my Denon DRA-635R I bought about 7 years ago. It's used everyday and never has problems (and sounds a lot better). Like another person said," dump the Kenwood on a sucker before it falls apart"... or buy something good to start with!

Moscode 402Au OLT stereo power amplifier Review

George is adamant about the fact that the Moscode 402Au is not just a tube gain stage slapped onto a solid-state power amplifier; rather, it is a tube amplifier with a MOSFET output stage.

A new driver from Lowther is real news. A new five inch driver is even rarer news, so it was with great anticipation that I waited on this pair of speakers to arrive.

Aune Mini Headphone DAC User Review

The unit arrived from China well packed and everything seem to be in place. No external abuse by the carriers. The only problem was the power supply it came with. The box came with a cheap step-down converter.
